Nov. 24 City Council Meeting The Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the City Council Chambers located at 100 East Main, Suite 500. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. Work sessions, if scheduled, begin at 6:30 pm
Cookbooks of the Past - Nov. 1 Sunday, Nov. 1, the special exhibit at Heritage House Museum will be "Cookbooks of the Past" with feature speaker Pflugervillian Shannon Oelrich sharing her unique collection.
Shannon is a freelance writer/editor and a stay-at-home mom. Originally from San Antonio, she moved to Austin in 1998 to pursue her master's degree in English. She was the food editor for Texas Co-op Power magazine for five years and while there, compiled and edited two archival cookbooks. She currently writes a recipe column called "Thursday's Dish" for LiveMom.com.
On display will be a historic German cookbook and also a 1923 cookbook composed by the PHS PTA. Folks are welcome to display their personal collections; however, should bring them to HHM Sunday, Nov. 1 at 12:45.
